West Allis Police Reserve
West Allis, Wisconsin
About Us

The West Allis Police Reserve came to existence in 1942 as a Civil Defense Program during World War II.  In 1972 the unit officially became known as the West Allis Police Reserve.  The unit is a non-profit service organization comprised of approximately 40 volunteers who assist the City of West Allis (Wisconsin) Police Department.

The West Allis Police Reserve provides security at civic events, traffic control during parades, and a variety of other services all at no cost to the city.

Reserve officers also work with local organizations such as Special Olympics, the West Allis Chamber of Commerce, WA/WM School District and the Community Alliance Against Drugs (CAAD) program.

Reserve officers attend monthly meetings, which include a short business session, followed by some form of training, usually given by a member of the police department.

Motivation comes from working with other Reserve officers towards a common goal, and knowing that we are helping the community.

Thank you again for your interest in the West Allis Police Reserves.
